Defending Serie A champions, Juventus defeated AC Milan 3-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, popularly known as San Siro, to end the Rossoneri’s 27-game unbeaten run in the league.
After hitting the woodwork, Federico Chiesa scored the first goal in the 18th minute following a lovely one-two with Paulo Dybala. AC Milan controversially scored an equalizer in the 41st minute, after Davide Calabria equalized in the 41st minute, but Hakan Calhanoglu fouled Adrien Rabiot in the build-up, but the VAR did not cancel the goal. Just after the hour mark, Chiesa made it 2-1, placing the ball at the edge of the box. Weston McKennie made it 3-1 in the 76th minute to ensure Juventus will return to Turin with 3 points.
AC Milan remain top of the table after their city rivals Inter Milan failed to take advantage and lost 2-1 to Sampdoria. Juventus, on the other hand, reduced the points gap between them and the Rossoneri to 7 points.
