Manchester City were too good for Chelsea as Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens defeated Frank Lampard and his Blues side 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in a one-sided affair on Sunday night.
Manchester City scored the opening goal in the 18th minute with a lovely low drive shot from Ilkay Gundogan just outside the box. Phil Foden, who provided the assist for the first goal then made it 2-0 in the 21st minute. In the 34th minute, Raheem Sterling took the entire Chelsea defense apart before his shot hit the woodwork, and Kevin de Bruyne scored from the rebound. Callum Hudson-Odoi pulled one back for the Blues in the 92nd minute, but it was too late to start a comeback.
some of the Blues fans are now calling for the sack of manager Franck Lampard, as Chelsea have dropped to 8th on the log with 26 points in 17 games. Manchester City, on the other hand, moved up to 5th on the log, with 2 games in hand.
Do you think Chelsea will sack Lampard?
