Nigeria Super Eagles

Good and bad news for Naija Super Eagles ahead of Sierra Leone clash

Naija Super Eagles will seek redemption as they take on Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in the second leg of the 2022 African Cup of Nations, but Gernot Rohr has both good and bad news.

The bad news is that Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of this clash due to the injury he suffered in Benin, and he has returned to Italy, but the good news is that every other player has been cleared, following initial reports that Samuel Chukwueze and Dennis Emmanuel are also injured.

Osimhen has scored 4 goals for Naija in the qualifiers, including the second goal in the 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, and Gernot Rohr has said he will be missed, but the German gaffer has other players available for this tie.

Genk striker Paul Onuachu, who is Nigeria’s most prolific striker presently with 9 goals for his club can replace Osimhen. Kelechi Iheanacho can also play as number 9. Captain, Ahmed Musa has also played as the top striker for the Eagles.

Who do you think should lead the attack for the Super Eagles?
