Naija Super Eagles had a 4-0 lead against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone, but an abysmal second-half performance helped the away side get 4 goals to earn a point at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
Everton star Alex Iwobi scored a beautiful low curler from outside the box in the 4th minute. Victor Osimhen made it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Iwobi made it 3 with a spectacular shot 6 minutes later and Samuel Chukwueze took the Leone Stars defense apart to make it for with a brilliant solo goal. Kwame Quee pulled one back for the visitors 5 minutes before the break after a poor defending by Nigeria. Al-Hadji Kamara scored the second goal for Sierra Leone in the 72nd minute. Mustapha Bundu made it 4-3 with 10 minutes to go and Kamara scored his brace in the 86th minute to level matters for the Sierra Leoneans.
Nigeria remain top of Group L with 7 points, while Sierra Leone have moved to third of the table with 2 points.
