Atletico Madrid will have another chance of winning the UEFA Champions League, knowing there is no Real Madrid or a Cristiano Ronaldo led team but will be facing RB Leipzig, who are hoping to make their first-ever semifinal.
This is the first-ever meeting between these two teams, but unlike the Atalanta vs PSG games, this is a clash between a very good defence against a good attack.
Leipzig will be without Timo Werner, who has joined Chelsea already. Yussuf Poulsen is also a doubt as he has not fully recovered from ankle ligament damage. Atletico on the other hand will be without Angel Correa and Sime Vrsaljko, who both tested positive for Coronavirus.
Werner has been involved in 45% of Leipzig’s goals and will be missed and with Poulsen’s fitness in doubt, their chances of victory are slim. Since Diego Simeone took charge, Atletico have always lost to only teams where there is Cristiano Ronaldo, who is now out of the competition, the Spanish club may be on their way to their first Champions League title.
