Brazil Superstar Neymar was among 5 players, who were sent off in Paris Saint-Germain’s home loss to Olympique de Marseille in a feisty local derby at the Le Parc des Princes on Sunday night.
Florian Thauvin scored the only goal in the match, after placing the ball on just beside the goalkeeper’s near post, following a long set-piece from Dimitri Payet on the half-hour mark.
The drama started in the 6th minute of added time following a needless foul on Daniel Paredes by Alvaro Gonzalez, and the brawl saw 5 players sent off. Paredes, Layvin Kurzawa, Jordan Amavi, Dario Benedetto, and Neymar, who narrowly escaped a red, but the VAR caught the Brazilian.
The 28-year-old Brazilian claimed Alvaro racially abused him, calling him a monkey and more. He was furious the VAR did not get that, but caught him punching Alvaro.
